ALA Self Study (Draft) Stakeholder Feedback

Self Study (Draft) Feedback Form

Our MS in Library and Information Science degree program is currently undergoing a comprehensive review in order to maintain continued accreditation by the American Library Association (ALA).  Continued accreditation status is granted to accredited programs that continue to demonstrate compliance with the Standards for Accreditation of Master's Programs in Library & Information Studies following a comprehensive review.   As part of this review process, a Self-Study is prepared, documenting how the program is in compliance with the StandardsAuthors of the draft Self-Study include: Nicole Cooke, Meg Edwards, Emily Knox, Kate McDowell, Kirstin Phelps, and Linda Smith.

Prior to submitting the Self-Study, we are inviting feedback on the draft (not including detailed sources of evidence) that was recently submitted to the Office for Accreditation and the External Review Panel responsible for a site visit in mid-September. Our stakeholders - including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and employers - have valuable perspectives to share on the MS/LIS degree program.

Please complete this webform by Monday, June 25 to have your comments considered as we prepare the final version of the Self-Study.
